3/2017 - Involved vs. Overwhelmed, Claremont McKenna College - This topic evolved from a discussion I had with the director of the Title IX and Civil Rights Department at the start of the Spring term. How do we know when we've taken on too much, or when our expectations for ourselves have become unreasonable? I was surprised-- and perhaps a little overwhelmed-- by the wide variety of qualitative and quantitative research that has been done on this topic. Perhaps someday I will learn how to prepare for one of these presentations without experiencing any of the symptoms that I'm describing, but apparently, not yet!
12/2016 - Stress Reduction Workshop, Claremont McKenna College - This presentation was challenging because so many CBT and Mindfulness interventions are already well known to students. Decentering, however, is a technique that's less well known and facilitates and enhances other relaxation techniques.

8/2015 - Intimate Partner Violence, Public Interest Investigations - This was a presentation for investigators on the dynamics of Intimate Partner Violence. Most professional trainings on this subject are targeted for mental health care professionals, so it was really exciting to review the material from a completely different perspective.
